Sadly, there isn't much more to do once you finish playing the game. There is no photo mode, different costumes, or even some fun mini-games. Sadly this title feels like a letdown, as it doens’t have much to offer content-wise. Also, the roster is a bit small compared to previous games, and what makes it even worse is that the game is a crossover between Neptunia and Senran Kagura, so it would’ve been nice to see some more playable characters. Sadly, all characters have similar combat styles, there is some variation, but it still feels pretty generic. You can play with ten characters, and you can pick two when playing through a level, and you can switch between them anytime.
The fights are not highly challenging, so you will probably be able to clear them quickly. All levels are also pretty linear and straightforward, and you must defeat monsters that appear and sometimes fight against bosses. You have your standard combos and attacks, some pretty flashy moves and specials to move, but none of them are challenging to perform so you will be pretty much just mashing buttons.
The combat is also pretty simple, unlike other hack n’ slash games like Devil May Cry and Bayonetta. It mainly focuses on more lighthearted aspects, as the characters constantly make funny comments and jokes, and there are plenty of comic scenes. The game does not have the deepest plot, and to be honest, it is a pretty weak and straightforward story.
The game is fun and lighthearted, so it can provide you with a pretty chill experience if that’s what you’re interested in. While the game can be fun to waste some time, don’t expect a masterpiece when playing it. Their leader Yoh Gamer appears and announces to the entire world that the Super Ninja War has begun and that it is time to discover which is the world's strongest school. When two great nations with various martial art styles are competing to see which one is superior, a mysterious army of robot ninjas attacks during their fight, and they can instantly take control of the smaller nations. In it, you can play with ten different characters to pick and discover which are your favorite ones.
In Neptunia x SENRAN KAGURA: Ninja Wars is a hack n’ slash RPG and a crossover between the Neptunia and Senran Kagura Wars.
